you all ever had one of those nights?...try a life time of them
what a day kids...what a day...about to shut er down for the night...I coulda done a couple of onery tricks today but passed them up
..the kids went to bed reasonable tonight so that was a plus...wind down now...they broke my bedside lamp so now I can't read in bed..
..saw when I passed through awhile ago tornadoes watch was on...there's a big ole culvet (?) anyway...right out side here so I figure if the shit hits the ditch I'll grab the kids and get in there...I used to play in one as a kid...I loved it...always cool...fish in the creek and catch crawdads..lol...carry tomatoes in my dress tail...sat here and thought about this place today...I can write whatI want...it's mine...and I don't mean that in a snottty way..just that if I want to remember something..thats okay..this is my place to do it...I get to tired and I show my ass sometime but I know when I do wrong..I hope...that is my prayer anyway..."other than that he's all right by me"...sing it Whit...well I guess I need to go look for some music...or not...what ever trips my trigger...
I could go so many ways with that tonight...tomorrow is my day off...I am so in the notion of goin out to cowboy and indian's and gettin' on a wild eyed drunk...
but more than likely I will not...I have a list..always a list...but if I fall out on you guys just step outside and listen...I maybe someplace howlin' at the moon..

...This post is for my Mother...I guess she was on my mind this mornin' cause I had that song "Mexican Joe" runnin through my mind...this picture is a WWII vintage...she was about 15 maybe in this...she met my Dad when he came home from the war ...story goes that Dad met her in a resturant where she worked and he had a date with another gal but my Mom followed him home...they married three days later...that what ya call a whirlwind...she was one of ten kids...her Daddy was crippled in a coal mine accident....she loved to sing...and she sang all the time...she favored blues and country so that is what I was raised on...every Sunday...and I do mean every Sunday my Dad would drive her to her Momma's ...on the long river road we drove for miles and the radio would be goin and Momma would be singin' ..Daddy, God love his heart, sounded alot like Earnest Tubb to me as a child..lol...anyway..Momma did a mean Patsy Cline...she loved Jim Reeves...she loved all of it really..and while I was lookin trough all those old songs she sang I found one that I remember...I like it and I remembered all the words too:)...they are hoaky and I know that...but they bring back to my mind a simpler time ....just livin' a memory here kids...I hope the sun shined in your world today...
